CRAFTING JEWELRY INTO ART SINCE 1876

1876

Brilliant goldsmith, sculptor and alchemist Benvenuto Villa founds his jewelry Boutique, where he devotes his talent to constant artistic experimentation beyond the codes of tradition.
Villa Milano soon gains fame as a beacon of aesthetic innovation and unparalleled design.

1989

Benvenuto Villa exhibits his jewels and sculptures at the Exposition Universelle de Paris, winning a gold medal for his avant garde design of a silver modular cube.
Now renowned for its inventive vision and highly regarded by other prominent jewelry ateliers, the Boutique establishes itself onto the international scene.

1920

The Boutique is inherited by Benvenuto Villa's son, Giuseppe. His contribution to Villa Milano is to this day a distinctive feature of the Boutique's design: a copyrighted non-replicable technique called “Tessuto Villa,” a weave of gold threads with a special versatility to adapt to the body like smooth velvet.
Giuseppe’s wife, Isotta, inaugurated the store in Via Manzoni 9.

1950

Giuseppe and Isotta pass on the Boutique to Adelio. In the wake of World War II, he manages to reinstate it to the forefront of the international goldsmithing and jewelry design scene, pleasing a demanding clientele looking for quality, originality, and excellent craftsmanship.

1980

The fourth generation of Villas, represented by Filippo and Marco, continues the family’s now century-old tradition, designing and producing exclusive collections manufactured by the finest artisans in Milan for a broadening international clientele.

2018

Alice Villa, with the support of the sister Francesca, takes on the role of the new creative director of the Boutique, succeeding as the fifth generation manager of Villa Milano. Committed equally to innovating the Boutique's aesthetics and to preserving her family's traditions and values, she adheres to treasured techniques and standards of quality by leading an entirely Made in Milan manufacturing process.
